Abstract

Cylinders receiving liquid fuel. - In a solidfuel injection device, which is operated by fluid pressure of the fuel, the fuel valve V is held between two springs S<1>, S<2> the spring S<1> abutting on a plunger A; the plunger is raised against the pressure of an adjustable spring S by pressure of the fuel, admitted by a pipe F, and acts as a pressure accumulator. As shown, the valve V opens when a flange R is lifted by a cap N which carries the spring S<2> and is mounted on the plunger A; alternatively the flange R may be omitted and the spring S<2> may rest on the base; the valve will then open when the pressure of the spring is released by the upward movement of the plunger. The closed position of the plunger may be varied by washers W; leak passages l<1>, l<2>, L and a priming valve P are provided.
