Abstract
320,069. Carpmael, A., (I. G. Farbenindustrie Akt.-Ges.). June 28, 1928. Ammoniacal-copper cellulose solutions are prepared by dissolving in ammoniacal copper oxide solution commercial cellulose in the form of dry thick sheets or boards without previously subjecting the sheets or boards to chemical treatment for the purpose of modifying the solubility of the cellulose or to treatment with water in order to cause the cellulose to swell. As the cellulosic material there may be employed wood pulp or other types of commercial cellulose, such as cotton, ramie, esparto grass, or straw. The solutions obtained can be used for spinning artificial silk by the stretch-spinning or other processes. Specifications 28681/97, [Class 120, Spinning]; 6557/99, 6072/06, 18342/09, and 302,956 are referred to.
