Abstract

318,996. Naamlooze Vennootschap Philips' Gloeilampenfabrieken. Sept. 14, 1928, [Convention date]. Vacuum tubes. - A fuse cartridge 10 carries in addition to the fuse container 11 a discharge lamp' 13 that by being extinguished or lighted indicates the blowing of the fuse. A neon or like lamp requiring only a small current is, with a series resistance 12, placed in parallel with the fuse wire. The lamp may have its leads 32, 33 arranged at opposite ends, or otherwise may have a series fuse to prevent arcing between the leads. The resistance 12 may be wound on the lamp or may be arranged in a separate cavity in the body 10. The cavities for the fuse, resistance, and lamp may be longitudinal or oblique.
