Alloys.-An alloy for sparking-plug conductors contains 98 parts of nickel, 1.8 parts of manganese, and 0.01 to 0.1 part of barium. The barium may be replaced by other elements having a low work function as regards electronic emission, for example, lithium, sodium, potassium, rhubidium, caesium, beryllium, magnesium, calcium, strontium or radium.
