Firebars.-A compound firebar consists of a main bar a and parallel subsidiary bars c supported by offset ends c<1>, in grooves in brackets a<1>, b<1> carried by the main bar. The web of the main bar may be hollow, as shown. The side subsidiary bars have side flanges c<2> and the spacing of the subsidiary bars may be varied by distance pieces inserted in the grooves of the supporting brackets. Specifications 475/96, 27975/07, 5674/13, 209,789, and 272,726 are referred to.
