Abstract
317,560. Jackson, L. Mellersh-, (Siemens & Halske Akt.-Ges.). May 31, 1928. Attenuating equalizers and similar impedance networks; amplifying systems. - An electric instrument for diagnosing or correcting defective hearing includes a device which decreases the intensity of the audible sounds from a chosen limit frequency in a progressively increasing measure towards low frequencies. The device may comprise a sound-receiving instrument m, which is preferably more sensitive to sounds of higher audible frequency connected to an aperiodic filter S, the circuit of which is shown in Fig. 2. The varying potentials from the filter S are led into an amplifying device v which feeds a telephone t preferably made especially sensitive to the sounds of higher audible frequency and well damped. The filter may contain inductances as well as resistances and capacities, and may be combined with the amplifier.
