317,300. Touron, A. Nau-. Aug. 10, 1928, [Convention date]. Addition to 284,194. Spindle apparatus; magnetic arrangements.- In ring spinning machines as described in the parent Specification wherein the ring is rotated by the pull of the yarn the ring is rotated by means capable of slip in order to relieve the tension in the yarn. The ring is connected to the spindle by spring frictional means, by a magnetic connection such as a magnet 6, Fig. 3, embracing the spindle and connected to the ring by elastic means 7, or it may be rotated through a friction or magnetic coupling 15, Fig. 5, from a socket 9 driven independently of the spindle by belt, spur, or friction gearing or by electric means, or by the spindle by the friction or magnetic means described above.
