Abstract

315,425. Parent, J. July 13, 1928, [Convention date]. Brackets, adjusting and securing.-A mirror is connected by a ball- and-socket joint to a pneumatic sucker, by which the mirror is secured to a wall &c., so that rotation of the mirror displaces the sucker to form the vacuum. In the construction shown a mirror casing 5 is formed with a hemispherical ball portion 4 seated in a recess 3 in a base member 1, the opposite face of which carries a sucker disc 2. A plate 10 is provided with a screwed stem 9 which passes through the sucker disc 2 and engages a nut 7 inside the portion 4 so that rotation of the mirror draws the plate 10, and the centre of the disc 2, away from the wall to provide the necessary vacuum. A photograph &c. may be inserted between the sucker and the surface to which the bracket is secured.
