Scavengers' carts of the kind provided with a rotating drum with interior conveyer surfaces are provided with a separate conveyer surface disposed at the feeding end of the cart. As shown in Fig. 1 the rotating drum a is provided with conveyer surfaces e connected to the drum a and to a central shaft and also with a conveyer g disposed between the conveyer e and the feeding aperture h, the conveyer being mounted on a shaft k and driven preferably at a speed greater than that of the drum a.
