Abstract
314,529. Silberstein, I. June 30, 1928, [Convention date]. Couplings. - Wires and electric resistances are connected by a member formed with a groove in which the connecting wire is laid and is secured by turning over the edge of the groove. Fig. 2 shows a resistance consisting of a glass &c. body a with a varnished resistance proper d having copper ends c in caps b. Each cap has an annular groove g in which the leading-in wires h are laid; the rims i<1> are then pressed over. The resistance may be mounted, by means of its pins f, in insulated flat-spring holders. In a modification, the pins f are surrounded by thick rings of a different, e.g., a softer, metal, and the grooves g are cut in these rings.
