Abstract
312,030. Siemens & Halske Akt.-Ges. May 18, 1928, [Convention date]. Automatic apparatus; continuous apparatus for developing.-Two or more automatic cameras, which are embodied in the front portion of a chamber and may have a common drive, are adapted to be used with a single developing apparatus to which the photographs are hand conveyed. The developing apparatus comprises two motor driven endless link chains connected at intervals by rods 14, Fig. 4, to which the prints are attached by clips 15. The prints are carried through a series of tanks, the time of immersion being regulated by horizontally displacing the wheels guiding the endless chains, to a drying chamber containing a heater and a fan, and are removed from the conveyer and delivered to the sitter through a lightproof lock by the attendant. A bladed wheel 18 is adapted to stir the baths. The clips, Fig. 5, which have interchangeable springs 19 for seizing the prints 16, are carried at such a height that only the springs 19 dip below the liquid level 20-21. The attendant uses new springs 19 for each print to prevent stains arising from contamination of the baths. The cameras and developing apparatus are enclosed in a light-proof chamber large enough to allow one or more attendant's to charge and supervise the developing apparatus. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) states that the photographs may be automatically conveyed from the photographing machines to a single automatic developing machine. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
