Colour screens and shutters. reciprocating; radial boards and like elements, oscillating; hinged elements, rotary apparatus with; actuating.-A sign in which a stencil &c. is seen in, or is illuminated by light reflected by, an inclined mirror is provided with a pivotally suspended colour or like screen whereby changing colour effects &c. are produced. The screen may comprise a sheet or strips f of glass, celluloid, &c., Fig. 3, mounted on a frame h hung on chains m which may be rubber covered and are of a length which prevents the frame, h striking the sides of the sign. The screen may be moved by the vibration of a vehicle, or by an electric or wind motor. One or more stationary colour screens may be associated with the suspended screen.
