Abstract

310,351. Jenks, W. Jan. 24,1928. Aromatizing air; atmospheric vaporizers.- Air is purified by a device, suspended by chain 6 from the ceiling, comprising a flared conduit 1 with deflecting plate 2 and electric motor 7 and fan blades 11 which are arranged outside the conduit. The entering air flows through a unit comprising a filter disc 15 held between grids 13, 14 on which is mounted a wire basket 16 containing charcoal 23 and a perfuming block 22 of porous clay saturated with fumigating oil or germicide, covered by a hinged lid 18. The filter unit is secured in the flared conduit by lugs 25 which can be radially retracted and then pushed through holes in the flaring and bolted thereto.
