Kinematograph a p p a r a t u s; optical systems.-An optical system for taking combined photographs, e.g. in a kinematographic camera p, comprises an objective b, a partial deflector f provided by the hypontenuse faces of two prisms d and an additional objective system h g. A distant object t is imaged on the screen k by the lenses g h and then photographed on to the film through the objective b and the prisms d, simultaneously with a stationary picture provided by an illuminated diapositive i. The stationary picture is reflected from the surface f of the prism d. Diaphragms k i are provided as shown and are arranged to obscure complementary parts of the corresponding images.
