Abstract
308,498. Vondran, A. April 18, 1928. Disinfecting-chambers; disinfecting processes.-In apparatus for disinfecting clothing and the like comprising a chamber 1 through which a disinfecting gaseous medium is caused to flow bv a fan or the like 8, conduits 4, 18, 6 and 5, 17, 7 are provided between the top and bottom of the chamber the conduits being connected by the fan conduit 19 and being provided with valves 9, 10, 12, 13 whereby the disinfecting medium may be passed alternately in opposite directions through the chamber. Heating means 11 may be provided in the fan-conduit 19. In order to renew the disinfecting medium or to dry the materials to be treated, valves 14, 16 communicating with the atmosphere or with additional chambers or conduits are provided, direct circulation through the conduits 5, 17, 18, 4 being wholly or partly interrupted, under these conditions, by a valve 15. The valves 9, 10, 12, 13 and 14, 15, 16 may be interconnected to permit all the valves of each system to be operated simultaneously.
