Automatic exchange systems. - Relates to systems for small exchanges in which the calling and wanted lines are connected over lineswitches to opposite ends of the same feed-relaygroup. the called line being selected by a temporarily-used impulse-recorder. In one system, plunger-type line-switches controlled by a master-switch are employed, and either the same line-switches and a single master-switch are used for both incoming and outgoing calls or two line-switches controlled by separate masterswitches may be associated with each line. In another system employing rotary line-switches of the usual type, calls to or from a main exchange are established over the local subscriber's line-switch, or local feed-relay-group, and a line-switch associated with the local end of a two-way inter-exchange junction. The invention is described with reference to systems identical with those described in Specification 298,474.
