Abstract

305,623. Langbein-Pfanhauser-Werke Akt.-Ges. Feb. 8, 1928, [Convention date]. Barrel apparatus.- A rotary barrel 1 for electroplating, cleaning or polishing small articles in quantity is divided into compartments bv annular partitions 3 in each of which is a gap joined to a gap in the next partition by oblique walls 6 whereby the articles are conveyed through the barrel. The articles are discharged by a worm 11. The barrel is mounted by spokes 4 on a shaft 5 which in the case of electroplating forms the cathode connection. Electrically conducting rings 12 are secured to the partitions 3. The barrel is perforated and is partially immerood in the electrolyte.
