Abstract

305,102. British Thomson-Houston Co., Ltd., (Assignees of Seede, J. A.). Jan. 30, 1928, [Convention date]. Magnetic separators. - Ores are separated from each other or from gangue by allowing them to flow in an unconfined stream through a highfrequency alternating magnetic field whereby eddy currents created in differently conducting particles cause the particles to be diverted and separated. The particles may be allowed to fall from a hopper 11 past coreless coils 12, the different kinds of particles, being collected in two or more receivers 14, 15.
