Abstract

304,62,8. Morris, E. T. Oct. 22, 1927. Feeding webs.-Turner bars are connected to their supporting brackets in such a manner as to allow sufficient angular adjustment of the bars to permit reversal of the direction of the run of the webs from the bars. The bar 1, Fig. 1, is provided with slots 2 through which pass bolts 3 securing the bars to blocks 4, 5 slidable in brackets 6, 7 which are slidable on the machine frame bars 9. The bar may thus be readily moved from the position shown in full lines to that shown in broken lines to reverse the direction of run of the web 14. Tubular margin bearers 13, Fig. 3, secured in the bar 1 have symmetrical marginsupporting positions 13<a>, 13<b>, for alternative use according to the angular position of the bar, but margin bearers of ordinary construction may be employed, the bar being in that case rotated on its arms through 180‹ when its angular position is changed.
