Direct connections between conductors.-A terminal connection for a resistance rod c comprises a split socket a provided with inclined surfaces or enlargements e and a screw-threaded pin d. A cap f having a screwed aperture o, and a terminal nut g completes the connection. To fit the device to the rod c the socket is placed over one end of the rod and the cap f screwed on the pin d to force the inclined surfaces c inwards and clamp the socket to the rod. A wire connection is secured by the nut g.
