304,297. Trinity Wheel Corporation, (Assignees of Baker, F. W.). Jan. 18, 1928, [Convention date]. Tyre attachments to rims.-The well base of a rim is closed by means of a spring metal band with free ends which can be assembled, or removed, with the tyre in position, as shown in Fig. 8. In the form shown in Fig. 2, the band 15 closing the well 13 is formed with a gap 16 and a cut-away portion to clear the valve hole 17 in the rim. Fig. 3 shows a modification in which the band 22 extends across the full width of the rim and has end extensions 23 spaced to clear the valve hole 21. A bridge 29, Fig. 5, may be fitted in the rim to support the band adjacent the valve 31.
