Vacuum or low-pressure apparatus, arrangements of.-An arrangement for supplying high tension current to the ionization electrodes Z1, Z2 of a pair of vacuum valves V1, V2 associated with transformer windings for producing A.C. from a D.C. source, comprises a transformer T1, the primary P1 of which is energized from the D.C. source Q1 through a rotary interrupter U. Two secondary windings S1, S2 are provided and connected respectively to the ionization anodes Z1, Z2 through rotary distributers B1, B2 on the same shaft W as the interrupter U. The phase of the derived A.C. is adjusted by adjustment of the cam ring r. In a modified arrangement, insulation difficulties are overcome by arranging the two secondaries on separate transformer cores energized by separate primaries connected in series. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) refers to Specification 302,362. This reference does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
