Abstract
301,889. I. G. Farbenindustrie Akt.- Ges. Dec. 9, 1927, [Convention date]. Shutters.-In a shutter comprising two pivoted blades which move in succession past the objective, the lagging blade is pivoted on the leading blade eccentrically to the pivot of the latter. The blade 3 is mounted on a pivot 2, and the blade 4 is mounted on an eccentric pivot 5 on the blade 3. When the blades are tensioned by the levers 9, 10, 11, a projection 12 on the blade 4 is brought into engagement with the end 15 of a locking-lever 14 controlled by a spring 17. On releasing the shutter, the blade 3 turns downwardly, and the consequent downward movement of the pivot 5 subsequently releases the blade 4 from the lever 14. The position of the lever 14 can be adjusted to vary the exposure by a pin 18 movable in a slot 19. The spring 7 controlling the return movement of the blade 4 is weaker than the spring 6 for the blade 3.
