Abstract
300,260. Knorr-Bremse Akt.-Ges., (Assignees of Drolshammer, l.). Nov. 11, 1927, [Convention date]. Addition to 297,753. Fluid-pressure.-In fluid-pressure brake apparatus wherein the control valve piston is subject to the pressure in a chamber to which a capacity reservoir is connected, the charging of the reservoir from the train-pipe is effected through a throttled passage to prevent overcharging, a passage of larger cross-section being however available for the discharge of the reservoir. Part of a Drolshammer control valve in the release position is shown, air coming in from the supply passage 126, flows past the piston 1 through the throttled orifice 37 and passage 39 and the throttled passage 125 to the control reservoir A. When in applying the brakes, the pressure on the upper side of the piston is reduced and the piston 1 moves upwardly, the air in the reservoir A is able to return freely to the chamber below the piston past the non-return valve 124. The throttled passage 125 instead may be formed in a disc which serves as a non-return valve.
