Abstract
299,800. Climax Molybdenum Co., (Assignees of Kissock, A.). Nov. 1, 1927, [Convention date]. Alloys.-A molybdenum compound, such as molybdenum oxide or sulphide, or calcium molybdate, is added to the charge of a blast-furnace in such proportions as to yield a pig-iron containing a desired percentage of molybdenum. Specification 314,032 is referred to. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) states also that the molybdenumbearing pig iron so produced may be mixed with other molten iron, or melted with other iron, or may be mixed with molten metal in a steelmaking furnace, or may form part of the charge of a cupola furnace, for the production of grey, white, malleable, or semi-steel castings. This Specification does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
