Abstract

297,648. Hooper & Co. (Coachbuilders), Ltd., and Clinton, G. E. Pelham-. March 29, 1928. Folding seats.-In a seat adapted to fold up into a cavity when not in use, a frame or panel A is provided, horizontally hinged at B to a fixed support C and serving to close the cavity when the seat is folded, the seat member D having an operative connection E, F, G with the support C such that when the panel A is folded down, the seat is automatically raised into its position of use, and vice versa. The proportions of the members E, F, G are such that the seat is locked when in the position of use. A stop E<2> limits the backward movement of the member E<1>.
