Signs.-Daylight reflector signs are made available at night by the provision of fixed lamps arranged outside the path taken by the daylight rays, the rays from the lamp being diffused so that neither the lamps nor their images will be visible to the observer. Fig. 1 shows one comstruction with the path of the daylight rays shown by arrows. The stencil-carrying plate b is provided with a screened lamp i at one end. The hinged reflector is swung up into the dottedline position at night to reflect diffused light from the lamp to the stencil a and viewing mirror f. Fig. 2 shows another construction in which the daylight rays are reflected from the mirror f through the stencil b. The hinged reflector j acts as a screen for the stencil by daylight in the full line position and serves to illuminate the mirror by diffused light at night in the dotted line position. Fig. 3 shows a form in which the lamp i and reflector j are fixed and the mirror and stencil are pivoted at c<1>, c<2> respectively.
