294,381. Shire, L. G. W. July 30, 1927. Bodies. - To obtain lightness and relative strength the pillars a of a motor coach are formed of sheet metal and are bent into T cross section. The pillars are provided with feet b to secure them to the floor boards c and cross member h the latter being provided with flanged flitch plates j. The cross section of the pillar varies and the pillar is provided with lugs f, d, p for securing it to the longitudinal rails g, e, q of the body. Battens l may be secured to the pillars in order to secure thereto the outer panels m and inner linings n.
