Abstract
294,300. Thoms, P. Perring-. May 3, 1927. No Patent granted (Sealing fee not paid). Aerials; thermionic amplifiers.-Separate longwave and short-wave frame-aerial windings are combined with a switch so arranged that in one position of the switch the long-wave aerial 1 is alone in circuit as shown in Fig. 2, whilst in the other switch position, the short-wave aerial 2 is inserted across the input circuit of the valve, and the long-wave aerial 1 is connected as shown in Fig. 3 so as to increase the pick-up effect. An intermediate tapping on each aerial is taken to the filament, as shown, the condenser 3 providing reaction control.
