Abstract
293,904. Farley, J. April 14, 1927. Kinematograph apparatus.-In toothed gearing for feeding films &c., the drive being either continuous with greater or less cyclic variation or intermittent, a series of axially displaced drivers 7, each carrying one curved tooth 3 - - 6, engage in succession or in overlapping relation substantially with the outer ends of a corresponding series of projection x on plates secured to the driven shaft 2. The leading ends 3<a> - - 6a of the teeth are formed of steep pitch to initiate the drive. To reduce vibration, the drivers may be operative in any desired sequence, as in engine crank-shaft drives. The drivers 7 may engage splines 7a on the driving-shaft 1 to facilitate, their rotary adjustment.
