293,648. Smith, H. E. Jan. 12, 1928. Card and like cases. A wallet or portfolio for papers &c. consists of a single sheet of paper &c. folded along the line a-a so that one side b of the fold is substantially greater in width than the other side c and approximately equal in width to the length of the papers &c. to be contained in the wallet; the two sides of the fold are then stitched or otherwise secured along lines d at right-angles to the fold to provide pockets e, the edge of the side c forming the mouths of the pockets. The wallet is folded along the lines g-g and double spaced rows of stitching may be made at the centre line and other lines d to allow for the thickness of the. wallet in folding. The wallet &c. is held in the folded condition by a band h threaded through slits k in the side band secured around the folded wallet by a press fastener at its ends. Specifications 100,608 and 102,778 are referred to.
