Splitting-machines.-The knife of a leathersplitting or other machine has one edge 6 sharpened and the edge edge 5 shaped to be sharpened with a minimum of grinding. The edge 5 forms an abutment while the edge 6 is in use. The knife is clamped by slots 2. Specification 14725/02 is referred to.
