Abstract

292,501. Rohm, O. June 20, 1927, [Convention date]. Chrome, iron, and like mineral tanning.-The salts of iron, chromium or aluminium are employed in conjunction with orthophosphoric acid or salts or esters of this acid. Examples describe the use of (1) iron sulphate chloride, orthophosphoric acid, and sodium carbonate; and (2) alum, glycerine phosphoric acid, and salt. The phosphoric acids or salts may be applied during greasing. Specification 270,267 is referred to. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) describes also the use of phosphoric acids in general and of arsenic acid and of salts or esters of these acids. This subjectmatter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
