Compressing air for purposes other than propulsion.-Air from a reservoir 7, supplied by an engine-driven compressor 1, and distributed to the various cylinders for scavenging and charging, may be used also for inflating the tyres. The reservoir 7 is fitted with a cock 9 which may be connected to the tyres.
