Abstract

289,631. Still & Sons, Ltd., W. M., and Smith M. T. April 25, 1927. Rumbles.-In polishing silver and like articles, such as teapots and milk jugs in rumbles articles are held against the polygonal inner wall 2, by struts 4, Fig. 4. The rumble consists of a metal shell 12 filled with cement 13, is closed by clamps 14, Fig. 1, and rotated by a motor 17 through a friction clutch 19. The struts may be rigid or each may comprise telescopic sections 7, Fig. 6, provided with end caps 6a and pressed apart by a spring 8 or a simple spring with end caps.
