Abstract

289,512. Camps, J. P. Jan. 25, 1927. Dobbies.-In order to extend the crossing zone of the warp threads in a loom for twilled fabrics and thus reduce the fraying of the said threads the heads 14, in addition to being operated by the usual knives 11 and hooks 10, are given a second movement by a lever 3 carrying an adjustable cam 4 operated by bowl 7 on an arm 17 secured to the rock shaft 5. The lever 3 may be connected by rods 28 with one element 12<a> of the linkwork between the hooks 10 and the healds 14, or may act through rods 27 or catches 33 on the hooks 10.
