Abstract

Systems of wiring.-A unit system of wiring comprises switch boxes a, a', Fig. 1, having lead-in terminals b and one or more lead-out terminals d, g permanently connected thereto, with one or more lead-out terminals c connected to the lead-in terminals through a switch f or switches. The terminals are adapted for ready connection to the ends of connecting cables and may be constituted by plug sockets. Two-point control of a lamp is provided for by a junction fitting q comprising lead-in terminals q<1> and lead-out terminals q<2>, q<3>, wired as shown, and preferably also lead-out terminals t to enable such control to be inserted at any point in an installation. On.e of the lead-out terminals, as q<3>, is adapted to be connected to two-way switchboxes l, m, permanently wired, and connected by a three-core cable as shown. The switch and junction-boxes may be constructed with fixed sockets for plug connectors or, as shown in Figs. 4 and 7, with pinching screw terminals mounted in one or more insulating blocks u so that they may be partially removed from the box for connecting up and then replaced against a supporting shoulder w. y represents a socket member, permanently connected, for the attachment of a table lamp, heater &c.
