Abstract
284,904. Bull, G. J., and Ambrose, H. May 11, 1927. Bedsteads convertible into seats.-In a chair convertible into a bedstead, the leg member 1 is provided, at its inner end with pins 5 engaging runs 7 extending diagonally and downwards from front to back of the box-like main frame, the runs merging into curved ends 6 at the front, and loops 4 being provided whereby to move the member 1. The back 17, which can be, let down into a horizontal position, is pivoted at 21 to links 22 having slots 23 engaging the pivot pins 16 of the seat 14, so that the lower end of the back can be drawn backwards, to clear the rear part of the main frame, before being lowered. Specification 259,489 is referred to.
