284,868. Whiteside, C. W. Feb. 19, 1927. Folding seats; seat adjustments. - A folding seat comprises three frames of which the first frame 1 rests on the ground at one end and is supported in an inclined position from its other end by the secured frame 2, the third frame 3 being pivoted at one end to the first frame. The frames 2, 3 are connected by tie rods 12, 19. The lower tie rods may be connected to the frame 1 instead of the frame 3. A canvas strip is attached to the top bar 11 of the frame 3, passes over or between two bars 15, 16 at the front of the frame 1 and oomtected to a bar 18 at the bottom of the frame 2. In order to adjust the inclination of the frame 3, pins on the frame 1 selectively engage notches in the frame 2 or vice versa..
