Fatty acids, purifying.-In the separation of " tall-oil " into industrial fatty acids and resinic acids by distillation in vacuo with or without steam, the absolute pressure is no higher than 8 m.m. 4 m.m. or less is suitable. Preferably one or more fractionating columns are used, and distillation is stopped when resinic acids begin to pass over.
