Ornamenting. - Embossed plywood veneer sheets having the thickness of paper are produced by first thickly coating the back with glue or paste containing a hardening agent, such as formaldehyde, zinc oxide, or waterglass, and then embossing in bold relief by known means. To secure the veneer to a wall, the back need only be brushed over.with water and the veneer may then be pressed on to the surface.
