Burners, applications of; perforated tube and like multiple jet burners. - In singeing yams, a gas pipe b is arranged as a separate element in a longitudinally slotted singeing chamber a, the gas pipe having parts disposed around the axis of the yarn passage, provided with horizontal or inclined burner apertures direc- :ed towards the yarn passage. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) states that the ends c<1> of the chamber may be connected to suction devices. The gas pipe may be of square section open on the outer side and located between a central casing and the outer wall, the latter closing the outer side of the gas pipe. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
