Garment racks.-An adjustable post applicablefor supporting a clothes airer comprises a screwthreaded rod 3 telescopically mounted in a fixed tube 1 and retained in position by handactuated bevel-gearing 11, 13. The upper end of the rod abuts against a rod 26<a> sliding in a fixed tube 25 and supporting a rotatable sleeve 29 having sockets for arms 34 carrying clothes lines 35. The sleeve also has rods 32 the upper ends of which are connected to a ring 33 to which wires 36 are secured.
