Abstract

277,760. McKay, P. M. June 25, 1926. L:M6s, artificial.-The ankle-joint of an artificial foot is provided with a sbeet-metal bearing plate 18 which rests upon the ankle-joint pin 12 and is provided with an integral flange 25 for attachment to the leg bucket. The pin 12 rests upon a leather seating 13 and is formed with a grooved saddle 14 which fits a staple 15 bolted to the foot. The plate 18 is pressed upwardly at 19, 21 to provide recesses for the pin 12 and staple 15 and the plate 18 is bolted to the pin by studs and nuts 22, 23 which bear on a block 24. Extensions 26, 27 on the plate 18 are riveted to the leg bucket for stiffening the latter. Rubber buffers 30, 31 limit the movement of the foot.
