Abstract

277,558. Armstrong, S. Feb. 23, 1927. Tonsilotomes and like instruments. - An apparatus for cutting the horns of cattle comprises a fixed blade 3<a> and a blade 3 slidable in a frame 1 by means of a screw 4 and handle 7. The lower end of the screw 4 engages in a socket 9 fixed to the blade 3 and is secured therein by a pin 13. A disc 14 flat on its lower surface and concave on its upper surface is placed at the bottom of the socket 9. A hoopshaped handle 15 is secured to the frame 1.
