Abstract

277,536. Lees & Co., Ltd., A., and Guy, W. Jan. 8, 1927. Mules and twiners.-The backing- off cam or chain wheel 18 is mounted independently of the monkey-tail lever 12 in such a manner that the pulling down of the fallers and the charging of the backing-off spring 3 by the fish-jaw 4 are effected without putting pressure on the boot-leg 14. The chain-wheel 18 is mounted on the fish-jaw 4 which has an extension 8 resting on a roller 9 on an arm 10 on the pivot 11. The monkey-tail lever 12 is mounted at the lower end of the arm 10 and is connected by the link 13 to the boot-leg 14. The chain-wheel 18 may be mounted on a bracket carried by the carriage square 7. It may be carried at one end of a lever pivoted in a bracket on the square and the other end of the lever rest on a bowl on the monkey-tail lever.
