Abstract

277,533. Ackland, A. E., and Drummond, T. Dec. 28, 1926. Flexible - pull actuation of tumbler switches in which successive pulls on a cord move the switch alternatelv " on " and " off." The cord 14 is fastened to one end of a lever 9 pivoted to the operating lever 4 of the switch at 8, the other end of the lever 9 co-operating with a spring 17 fixed at its upper end to the base of the switch and serving to return the lever 9, after each release of the cord. to a suitable position for the next actuation of the cord. In the form shown, the lever 9 has abutments 10, 11, which engage and actuate the lever 4 of the switch. In modifications, the lever 9 engages abutments on the lever 4 and in other modifications. a slot in one of the levers 4, 9 engages a pin or other portion of the other lever.
