Abstract
275,203. Rosenheim, A. July 30, 1926, [Convention date]. Purifying fatty oils and paraffin.-The Specification, as open to inspection under Sect. 91(3) (a) refers to the use, for decolourizing or deodorizing liquids such as oils, of natural or artificial zeeolites, or of similar substances such as glauconite, tuffs, or natural glasses the basic content of which has been wholly or partially extracted as by treatment with acids or acid salts. Additionally, the acid-acting constituent present in addition to silicic acid may have been wholly or partially extracted, and for decolourizing acidbearing liquids such as olive oil, palm oil, palm kernel oil, or melted paraffin, the necessary base extraction may be effected by the substance to be decolourized. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 159,196, [Class 1 (ii), Inorganic compounds, other than &c.].
