Pac7;ing, non-metallic.-In packing for vacuum brakes &c. of the type in which a flanged rubber sleeve 2 has a bead 3 bearing on the rod, the bead is pressed on to the rod by elastic means preferably comprising a constricting ring 1 of more elastic rubber. The ring 1 may be let into a recess in the sleeve, or may extend the full distance between the flanges. The ring may be united with the sleeve during manufacture.
