The lever is secured in the clamping position by movable cross-pieces 3, 4. In a modification, Fig. 3, the bent-over end 9 of the lever 2 engages a groove 8 in the base-plate 1, a movable runner 7 being used as a wedge to hold the member 6 in place and also to hold the lever down.
